Editorial Team

The Miskwaabiimag 2-Spirits Health Journal is guided by two complementary bodies, designed to ensure its academic rigor but also its dedication to the 2-Spirit, Indigi-queer and Transgender (2SIQT) People it serves. With their combined mandates, these two boards together grow the journal’s reputation and enhance its cultural and scholarly impact. We remain committed to our dual duties of 2SIQT wellness and academic excellence.

Editorial Board

The Editorial Board is composed of 2-Spirits and Indigi-queer scholars and leaders, as well as allies, with a range of multidisciplinary expertise. The Editorial Board oversees the everyday functions of the journal. It focuses on matters of manuscript assessment and revision, ethical research standards, editorial writing, and other operational matters as the need arises.

The Board’s exact composition is still in development, with this section to be updated soon to reflect the breadth of its membership.

Community Advisory Board

The Community Advisory Board is composed of community members, youth ambassadors, and Knowledge Keepers, many of them working on the frontlines of 2SIQT health and wellness. This Board informs the strategic direction of the journal, keeping it on the pulse of latest developments, the ever-evolving needs and diverse perspectives of the 2SIQT community. This Board ensures the journal’s unwavering dedication to serving community first in the spirit of reciprocity and relationality.
