With much anticipation, the Miskwaabiimag 2-Spirits Health Journal (M2SHJ) announces its inaugural call for submissions for Volume 1, Issue 1, titled Reclaiming Our Roles in the Circle. The M2SHJ is the first of its kind: a journal made for and by 2-Spirited, Indigiqueer and Trans People (2SIQT), championing emergent voices and leaders in the community. The journal seeks to bridge critical gaps in health, wellness and understanding while dismantling elitist barriers that have marginalized our People historically and contemporarily.
Journal Mandate
The journal endeavours to weave together the living experiences and perspectives of the many diverse 2SIQT People across Turtle Island. The journal adopts decolonial, anti-oppressive and strength-based Indigenous frameworks to advance an agenda of radical care, solidarity, and Indigi-queer excellence.
